False claim of 'first EU organic-certified skincare brand' draws fine; agents complain of payment without delivery
In 2017, the Shanghai Songjiang District Market Supervision Administration found that Sancao Liangmu's claim to be 'China's first skincare brand to obtain EU organic certification' was false (only two products were certified); its advertising contained absolute terms and falsely claimed patents, and it was fined 106,000 yuan; several products were ordered to rectify because filing materials were overdue. Its WeChat-based agent model has repeatedly drawn complaints, with agents saying they paid but received no goods; in 2021, related individuals and the company were subject to property preservation of more than 52 million yuan. Administrative penalty; the company apologized multiple times.
