Zunjie sends users brake pedal test explanation showing V800 samples withstood 3000N without damage
On October 13, Zunjie Auto sent users an explanation of brake pedal testing results, disclosing that a third-party testing institution inspected the Zunjie V800 brake pedal on October 11 and that, under a stringent test with longitudinal force increased to 3000N, the tested samples showed no cracks or damage; four samples under standard 1500N load testing were judged to meet the strength requirements of industry standard QC/T 788—2018. The testing was carried out by the testing center of China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd. The disclosure responds to a controversy that began on October 8, when Dongchedi published a test video claiming that three new Zunjie V800 vehicles suffered brake pedal bracket fractures during repeated emergency braking tests from 100 km/h; Zunjie characterized the test as non-standard extreme conditions, while Dongchedi staff said it was normal heavy braking. Zunjie also said it will continue to upgrade the brake pedal to expand safety redundancy.

As a corrective action in the Zunjie V800 brake pedal controversy, Zunjie stated on October 8 that it would optimize the brake pedal component design and offer delivered users a free upgrade option, alongside a review of design validation, test boundaries and production quality management. On October 11, Zunjie customer service confirmed that the V800 brake pedal bracket base upgrade plan is expected to be confirmed by the end of October, with upgrades starting from November; delivered users can register through any nationwide service center or purchase store, and vehicles not yet shipped will be delivered after the upgrade. Zunjie said the previously announced pedal upgrade will still proceed despite the favorable third-party test results, with the stated goal of continuing to expand safety redundancy.

That evening, Zunjie Auto issued a statement saying its braking system exceeds national and industry standards, and said it will further optimize the component's design and offer delivered users a free upgrade option.
