Zhangxue Motorcycles recalls 286 units of 2026 820RR over O-ring seal defect
Chongqing Zhangxue Motorcycle Industry Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan (No. S2026M0061V) with China's State Administration for Market Regulation, recalling 286 units of the 2026 820RR motorcycle produced between April 3 and April 21, 2026. An incorrectly installed O-ring seal on the engine pressure relief valve can deform and damage the seal, loosening the valve assembly, causing oil leakage and insufficient lubrication that may lead to connecting rod bearing failure, crankcase rupture, engine seizure and, in extreme cases, a rider crash. The defect was traced to an April 16, 2026 crankcase rupture on a Yinchuan owner's 820RR; the damaged vehicle was inspected at the factory on April 21 and the company issued an emergency recall notice on April 22. Zhangxue will inspect recalled vehicles free of charge, replace the O-ring if the valve is not loose, and offer return or exchange if the valve is already loose.
