    In June 2019, the National Health Commission exposed 94 hotels for hygiene violations; GreenTree Inn locations were listed for items and utensils not being cleaned and disinfected and employees lacking health certificates, among other issues. In September 2021, a GreenTree Inn app was notified for illegally collecting personal information. As early as 2013, Economic Information Daily reported that 7 Days Inn and GreenTree Inn locations were fined for opening without licenses. Ordered to rectify.
