Daliyuan French Soft Bread Total Bacterial Count 186 Times Over Limit
In November 2016, a sampling inspection notice said Daliyuan French soft bread had a total bacterial count 186 times over the limit. Daliyuan responded that the problem was caused by contamination during storage, transport, and sales, and that the relevant products had been recalled and destroyed. Previously, in 2015, Dali's “好吃点” crispy walnut biscuits had an excessive total bacterial count in a Sichuan sampling inspection; in 2019, a product from a Dali Foods subsidiary again failed the total bacterial count test and the company was ordered to rectify within a deadline. The relevant batches were recalled and destroyed, and rectification was carried out.
