Lille to acquire operating rights to Pierre-Mauroy stadium from Eiffage
Per L'Équipe, French football club Lille is advancing an acquisition of the operating rights to the Pierre-Mauroy stadium (currently named Decathlon Arena) from construction group Eiffage, buying Eiffage's subsidiary ELISA together with all of its subsidiaries and creating a new legal entity, Lille Arena SAS Opération LEDA. The arrangement still requires a formal MEL vote, with the transaction expected to complete by early 2027 at the latest.

Lille and MEL agree on repayment of 24 million euros in stadium rent arrears
French football club Lille has reached an agreement with the Lille European Metropolis (MEL) on repaying 24 million euros in overdue Pierre-Mauroy stadium rent, resolving a dispute over several years of unpaid rent of about 6.5 million euros per year that had gone to the Lille administrative court. MEL's president described the deal as resolving the dispute in a positive way and as a win-win for both parties.
