    Alibaba DAMO Academy launches liver cancer AI diagnostic model DAMO LiON

    Alibaba DAMO Academy, together with Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University and other institutions, developed the liver cancer AI diagnostic model DAMO LiON, which identifies early malignant liver lesions around 1 cm in diameter from routine contrast-enhanced CT images. In a two-month prospective real-world trial it helped detect 15 previously undetected malignant tumors, and the model is now in routine use at partner hospitals.
