    Biscuits fail peroxide test, fined RMB 1.2 million; trial-production products sold in violation

    Iron-zinc-calcium milk biscuits and iron-zinc animal biscuits produced by Qingdao Food Co., Ltd. failed sampling tests for peroxide value. In 2021, the Qingdao Municipal Market Supervision Administration fined the company RMB 1.2 million and confiscated illegal gains of more than RMB 47,000; it had been reported multiple times in the previous year. During its IPO, media also alleged that its trial-production products had been publicly sold, suspected of violating production licensing rules. Fine and confiscation totaled about RMB 1.247 million.
