RTÜK suspension and license withdrawal
RTÜK ordered a five-day suspension in May 2024 over a guest's remarks describing the killing of Armenians during the First World War as genocide. The regulator withdrew Açık Radyo's broadcasting license on 3 July. The station made its final broadcast on 16 October while appealing the closure.
