Former Miss North Carolina USA sues Miss USA Organization over title removal
Former Miss North Carolina USA Brittany Boltinhouse filed a lawsuit on August 23 in Duplin County Superior Court against the Miss USA Organization and its state pageant organizers, alleging defamation and civil conspiracy over her August 5 dethronement. The lawsuit names Miss USA CEO Thom Brodeur, JKN Universe, and A Blaize Productions as defendants and seeks compensatory and punitive damages. The Miss USA Organization maintains the removal was due to conduct violating its standards.

Brittany Boltinhouse sues Miss USA Organization over dethronement
Brittany Boltinhouse, the 27-year-old former Miss North Carolina USA 2026, filed a civil lawsuit on Aug. 23 in Duplin County Superior Court in North Carolina against the Miss USA Organization, chairman and CEO Thom Brodeur, A Blaize Productions, and North Carolina pageant operators Ariana and Nic Blaize, accusing them of defamation after she was stripped of her state title earlier in August.
