    Smart access-control intercom found with 13 high-risk vulnerabilities, allowing remote eavesdropping and video capture

    In March 2023, security firm Claroty Team82 disclosed 13 vulnerabilities in the Akuvox E11 smart access-control intercom, including command injection, unauthorized access to the camera and microphone, weak encryption, and insecure SIP control; attackers could remotely listen in, capture video, and execute code, and the vendor did not respond for a long time after disclosure. In 2024, Zero Science Lab disclosed CVE-2024-58336 and other vulnerabilities; video.cgi on port 8080 of multiple intercom devices could leak live video streams without authentication. The vendor released firmware updates (E11 upgraded to V111.30.2.22, etc.) and recommended that users isolate devices and restrict ports.
