Alcoa to suspend primary aluminum production at its Spanish plant
Alcoa announced that primary aluminum production at its Spanish plant would stop for two years, through the end of 2023. The plant would continue producing remelt aluminum and expand billet and sheet output; Alcoa said it would continue paying wages and would not lay off employees.
