Amrize appoints Sam Poletti as Chief Financial Officer
Amrize's Board of Directors appointed Samuel J. Poletti as Chief Financial Officer effective August 24, succeeding Baris Oran, who stepped down for personal reasons. Amrize also named Dillon Cumming as vice president of Investor Relations, joining September 8.

Lafarge Canada's Point Anne Quarry received the 2021 Progressive Rehabilitation Award from the Ontario Stone, Sand & Gravel Association. The award was presented at the association's 2022 Conference & AGM at the end of February.

Holcim US opens solar power plant at Hagerstown
Holcim US opened a 10MW solar power plant at its Hagerstown, Maryland cement plant in partnership with Greenbacker Renewable Energy Company. The company said the plant will supply 25% of the cement plant’s energy needs.
