    Softbox Infringes Korean SMDV Patent; Ordered to Stop Sales and Destroy Inventory

    South Korea's SMDV alleged that Aputure Light Dome III and Light Dome Mini III infringe its folding softbox patent. The Guangdong High People's Court issued a final judgment in May 2025 prohibiting Aputure from manufacturing and selling the related products in China and ordering the destruction of inventory and molds. According to SMDV's release, no public response from Aputure was seen.
