Volkswagen recalls Passat and Atlas vehicles over wheel-bearing bolts
Volkswagen's Product Safety Committee decided on October 8 to recall 30 Passat and Atlas vehicles assembled with improperly tightened wheel-bearing bolts. The article says the company was aware of one field claim involving noise from a loose bolt; the remedy is replacement of bolts if a dealership technician finds incorrect wheel-bearing torque.
