    Then-chairman Geng Yangmou fined and banned from market over Haohua Energy's 2.8 billion yuan financial fraud

    In August 2021, Jingneng Power announced that chairman Geng Yangmou had received an advance notice from the Beijing Securities Regulatory Bureau over Haohua Energy's information disclosure violations. From 2015 to 2018, Haohua Energy understated financial expenses and inflated profits by about 2.8 billion yuan; Geng Yangmou was then chairman of Haohua Energy. In November, the Beijing Securities Regulatory Bureau issued a formal penalty. Geng Yangmou was warned, fined 300,000 yuan and banned from the securities market for three years, and subsequently ceased to serve as chairman of Jingneng Power.
