    Incomplete Consolidation, Inaccurate Accounting: Biolight Warned Twice by Regulator in Two Years

    In 2023, the Guangdong Securities Regulatory Bureau found that Biolight’s consolidated financial statement scope was incomplete and its 2022 performance forecast disclosure was inaccurate, and issued warning letters to the company, chairman Yan Jinyuan, general manager Liao Wei, CFO Xu Wei and board secretary Yang Yongxing. In 2024, it identified five issues—revenue recognition, sales returns, conversion of construction in progress to fixed assets, goodwill impairment testing and non-compliant internal control—and again issued warning letters to the company, Yan Jinyuan and Xu Wei. The warning letters were recorded in integrity files, and rectification and internal accountability were required.
