    Jiegumu TCM decoction pieces fail sampling inspection for traits; seller fined

    In 2020, a sampling inspection by the Shanghai Medical Products Administration found that Jiegumu (batch 18101808) produced by Wujiang Shanghai Cai Tong De Tang TCM Decoction Pieces Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of New World, failed to conform in traits; its decoction pieces had also failed sampling inspections before. Shanghai Cai Tong De Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was penalized for selling the nonconforming batch. The Shanghai Market Supervision Administration confiscated illegal gains of about RMB 3,803 and imposed a fine of about RMB 12,540.
