Carowinds fined after worker suffers severe injury
The South Carolina Occupational Safety and Health Administration fined Carowinds $42,000 in September for six serious violations after a maintenance worker's hand was severed while inspecting the Windseeker ride earlier in the year. Carowinds said it took the citations seriously and was responding accordingly.
