FSAI announces recall of SuperValu and Centra smoked salmon products over listeria
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) announced a recall of smoked salmon products from the Centra Inspired By and SuperValu ranges after listeria monocytogenes was detected. Affected batches across the SuperValu Signature and Inspired By Centra ranges carry use-by dates of 31 October and 4 November 2026, and retailers have been requested to remove them from sale and display recall notices at point-of-sale. The announcement follows a separate recall of SuperValu own-brand smoked salmon announced the previous Sunday, also due to listeria monocytogenes.

Centra and SuperValu recalled rice products due to the possible presence of insects. The Food Safety Authority of Ireland urged customers not to consume the products; recall notices were to be displayed in stores.
