Saputo Dairy Australia announces Coon cheese brand rename to Cheer

Saputo Dairy Australia announced that the Australian cheese brand Coon would be renamed Cheer, following a two-decade campaign by Indigenous advocate Stephen Hagan to change the name. The company said replacement products would reach supermarket shelves in July. The article describes the former name as an offensive slur for Black people.
