Florida AG sues Stake and VGW over illegal sweepstakes gambling
Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier announced lawsuits against multiple sweepstakes gambling operators, including Stake and VGW, which owns Global Poker, Chumba Casino, and Luckyland, as well as payment processors working with the sites. The AG seeks permanent injunctions to ban the companies from operating or advertising in Florida and to return gambling losses to players, alleging the operations are illegal online gambling using deceptive marketing.
