New York allegations concerning predatory lending and wage assignment

On April 14, 2025, New York Attorney General Letitia James sued DailyPay, alleging that the company's fees for early wage access can create effective rates exceeding 750 percent and that its practices violate New York usury and wage-assignment laws. The attorney general characterized the conduct as predatory payday lending. These remain allegations made in a lawsuit.
