    Mahoney BB-gun injury lawsuit

    A Pennsylvania teenager, John Tucker Mahoney, suffered catastrophic brain injuries after another child accidentally fired a Daisy BB gun at him while believing it was unloaded. The resulting lawsuit alleged that Daisy concealed or failed to address a defect involving BB-gun jamming. Daisy settled with Mahoney's family for $18 million. Mahoney died from his injuries in 2003.
