Maldron Manchester booking cancellations and repricing allegations

Following the announcement of additional Oasis concert dates in Manchester, customers reported that existing reservations at Dalata’s Maldron Hotel in Manchester had been cancelled. Some alleged that the rooms were being offered again at prices as much as three times higher. Dalata said a technical booking-system error on 26–27 August had created overbooking, denied deliberately cancelling bookings to resell rooms at inflated prices, apologised and said it would honour bookings made before 26 August. Manchester City Council indicated that it would look into the complaints.
