Alleged unfair consumer practices
Malayang Konsyumer alleged that some Dali branches had inaccurate pricing and weighing practices, erroneous invoice entries, and sanitation-related concerns. The Department of Trade and Industry investigated, monitored branches, and issued a show-cause order concerning 13 reported instances. DTI also said monitored branches had complied with applicable suggested-retail-price and price-tag requirements during routine checks and noted that the advocacy group had not filed a formal evidence-supported complaint.

NutriAsia intellectual-property dispute
NutriAsia initiated proceedings against Hard Discount Philippines Inc., alleging trademark infringement, unfair competition, and copyright infringement. The dispute concerned Dali products whose names and trade dress were alleged to imitate NutriAsia products, including visual and naming similarities involving the UFC and Datu Puti brands. IPOPHL later ordered the removal of three products.
