    Insider-trading investigation

    Taiwanese prosecutors and other government agencies investigated allegations that DBTel executives sold substantial quantities of company shares before the release of negative information and downward revisions to financial expectations. Chairman Michael Mou was acquitted in one trial and convicted in another. DBTel subsequently changed its Chinese corporate name from Daba Electronics to Ding Chuang Da.
