Denny's franchisee sues employees over alleged tip embezzlement
Northland Properties Corp., which operates a Denny's restaurant in Kamloops, B.C., filed a civil claim in B.C. Supreme Court on Dec. 17, 2025, suing employees Brandon Billy, Dhruv Rana and Rob Wiehe over an alleged tip embezzlement scheme. The claim alleges more than $500,000 in tips was misappropriated, including more than $494,000 attributed to former manager Wiehe between 2023 and 2025. The restaurant reported the theft to Kamloops RCMP. None of the allegations have been proven in court.
