Anti-prostitution pledge litigation
DKT challenged a U.S. government condition requiring organizations receiving certain HIV/AIDS funds to adopt an explicit policy opposing prostitution. DKT argued that the requirement interfered with HIV-prevention work among sex workers and other high-risk groups. The district court ruled for DKT in 2006, but the D.C. Court of Appeals reversed the decision in 2007.
