DXOMARK launches Video Call V2, a new generation of its video call benchmark protocol
DXOMARK officially released Video Call V2, a new-generation version of its video call quality benchmark protocol succeeding the first version launched in 2023. The update expands perceptual scenes from 4 to 10 videos with three new low-light scenes, adds richer motion scenarios, introduces new objective metrics such as Face Detail Preservation and Local Contrast Gain, offers a streamlined All-in-One Video Call Setup for lab testing, and runs an end-to-end automated test flow. It provides a public score on dxomark.com and a B2B-only objective score; nine devices have already been ranked, with Microsoft Surface Laptop 13.8-inch (8th gen) and Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch at the top.
