EDF announces a 12% average price increase from October
EDF announced that it would raise prices by 12% on average from October. Its standard variable tariff would rise by £139 to an average of £1,277 a year, with the new rate scheduled to take effect on October 1 for customers on default tariffs; fixed tariff plans would not be affected.
