Dispute over dismissal of union-organizing waiters
Thirty-one waiters alleged that they were fired after attempting to organize with the Industrial Workers of the World. The restaurant countered that the former employees had defrauded it of hundreds of thousands of dollars. A settlement reached in October 2017 offered the workers an opportunity to return and provided back pay.
