    Multiple recalls over transmission gear jumping and door lock jamming

    Geely Emgrand was recalled multiple times over defects: in 2016, some Emgrand EC7 vehicles were recalled because the manual transmission could jump out of gear; Emgrand GS/GL models were recalled, 28,359 vehicles, over manual transmission shifting risks; in August 2023, Zhejiang Haoqing recalled 22,272 Emgrand GL vehicles because door locks could jam. Some owners also complained that steering column failures caused the steering wheel to shake. The recalls were for repairs.
