Tmall flagship store coat fined over unsubstantiated 'lamb wool' label

A coat sold by the operator of Erdos's official Tmall flagship store was labeled 'lamb wool' in the product title but could not provide supporting evidence for the relevant composition, and was deemed misleading advertising by market regulators and fined. Previously, after the late-2024 '0 cashmere' mislabeling incident involving cashmere sweaters was exposed, Erdos Group issued a statement saying the entity involved was another local operator and unrelated to its brands. Fine RMB 500; the incident, along with the industry 'cashmere mislabeling' controversy, drew attention to labeling of cashmere products.
