A heavy equipment company in northern Alberta has been fined $155,000 after a worker sustained serious injuries from being struck by a moving loader.
The company — Finning International Inc. — pleaded guilty on Oct. 16 to one count of failing to ensure equipment was operated based on the manufacturer’s specifications under the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Code.
