Aircraft repossession and lease-payment dispute
Airborne Capital seized four Flair aircraft after alleging repeated missed lease payments. Flair said it was addressing the obligations and suggested that outside competitive interests might have influenced the situation, while the lessor alleged that several months of payments were overdue.

Canadian-control regulatory scrutiny
The Canadian Transportation Agency questioned whether Flair met the legal requirement to be controlled by Canadians. The matter was resolved when the agency allowed the airline to keep its operating licence after reviewing its arrangements.
