2018
Transplant-program whistleblower litigation
A former physician alleged that Florida Hospital violated Florida's whistleblower protections after he was dismissed following concerns about practices at its heart and lung transplant institute. A jury awarded damages, but an appellate court overturned the verdict in 2020.

Second patient-record copying incident
Two employees were dismissed after an investigation into the copying of approximately 9,000 medical records. Patient lawsuits followed, and Florida Hospital sought dismissal of the cases.

Florida Hospital Celebration Health medical-record theft
Medical records of motor-vehicle-accident patients were improperly taken over a period beginning in 2009. Employees and an outside participant were prosecuted after the records were disclosed without authorization.
