Support for the South Kasai secession

During the Congo Crisis, Forminière provided facilities, financing, and weapons to Albert Kalonji from late July 1960 as he established the secessionist State of South Kasai. The company withdrew from the region in early 1961, while Mibéka continued operating at Bakwanga and maintained its own support for Kalonji.
