FriendFinder Networks account-data breach
Reports stated that data from more than 412 million accounts across Adult FriendFinder, Cams.com, Penthouse, and other related websites had been compromised and leaked. The reported data included usernames, email addresses, and passwords, including information associated with accounts that users believed had been deleted. Security reports also criticized the storage of some passwords in plaintext or with the outdated SHA-1 hashing method.
