Unannounced shutdowns of legacy game servers
After Glu Mobile acquired the GameSpy service division, servers for several older games were shut down as integration costs increased. The closures were criticized by affected players and communities because some developers and users reportedly received little or no advance notice, leaving established multiplayer communities without their previous service infrastructure.
