An International Chamber of Commerce arbitration panel ordered Gebr. Heinemann to pay damages in a dispute involving competitor James Richardson and the licence to operate duty-free shops at Ben Gurion Airport. The dispute concerned an application by the Alfa joint venture and alleged arrangements under which the licence would ultimately be left to James Richardson in exchange for a non-competed Sydney opportunity.
