Genesis Healthcare announces strategic restructuring plan
Genesis Healthcare announced a strategic restructuring plan that includes terminating its master lease covering 51 facilities, transitioning their operations to new operators, receiving debt reductions from Welltower, and a $50 million capital infusion under an agreement with ReGen Healthcare. The company also said it would voluntarily delist its Class A common stock from the NYSE and deregister its common stock.

Genesis Healthcare reaches settlement with Vermont
Vermont's attorney general announced a civil settlement with Genesis Healthcare and three Vermont nursing home subsidiaries over complaints involving neglect of residents, including the death of one resident. Genesis agreed to pay a $740,000 penalty and to hire a patient care coordinator and an independent monitor.
