Antisemitic and anti-democratic ideology
The DHV promoted antisemitic, nationalist, anti-democratic and anti-liberal positions, as well as an explicitly anti-feminist outlook. Its ideological character has led historians to classify it as proto-fascist or pre-fascist.
Cooperation with the Nazi Party
The organization cooperated with the Nazi Party and attempted to unite Nazism with political Catholicism, associating it with the radical right during the final period of the Weimar Republic.
