Irving Park police-wagon death
Two police officers allegedly remained at the Irving Park Golden Nugget for about two hours while an intoxicated 56-year-old man waited in their police wagon. He died after falling into a position that caused asphyxiation. The Chicago City Council agreed to pay his family $1.8 million. The reference material does not state that the restaurant was itself found liable.
