    The Australian Securities and Investments Commission challenged Normandy Mining’s takeover of Great Central Mines through Yandal Gold. The Federal Court found that the joint bidding arrangements involving Joseph Gutnick and Normandy chairman Robert Champion de Crespigny were unlawful and deceptive. Gutnick was ordered to return $28.5 million to investors.
