    Controversial COVID-19 indoor reopening

Greenhouse's decision to host an indoor theatrical production while the COVID-19 pandemic remained active was criticized by members of Chicago's theater community. Concerns focused on the timing of the reopening and the adequacy of health and safety precautions. The dispute contributed to the resignation of general manager Derek Rienzi Van Tassel and resulted in Actors' Equity Association placing the venue on its Do Not Work list.
