Perry Street announces multi-year overhaul and early-2027 redesign of Growlr
Perry Street Software announced on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, a multi-million-dollar investment spanning several years to overhaul its dating app Growlr both technically and visually. Plans include a completely redesigned version of Growlr in early 2027 with a new look, a new logo and redesigned profiles, expanded content sharing in chats, the return of the Shouts and Flashes features, an overhaul of video features and stronger efforts against bots and spam. Perry Street also plans to anchor the Growlr brand more deeply in the international bear community, support more Bear Weeks and bear events, expand its social media presence, collaborate with bear influencers and produce original content, with a first clothing collection developed with fashion designers planned for spring 2027. Perry Street has taken over the growlr.com domain and a beta program for the new app is planned in the coming weeks. According to Perry Street, the app now serves nearly half a million people daily.

Perry Street Software acquires dating app Growlr from The Meet Group
Perry Street Software, the American company behind the queer dating apps Scruff and Jack'd, has acquired Growlr, the bear-focused dating app, from The Meet Group. The announcement was made on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, together with a multi-million-dollar, multi-year plan to overhaul Growlr technically and visually. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The Meet Group had owned Growlr since 2019.
