Recall of falsely rated flash drives

In early 2008, more than 30,000 flash drives supplied through Hama were discovered to have been manipulated to report a storage capacity greater than their actual physical memory. Writing data beyond the real capacity could result in data loss. The products were recalled after the fraudulent supplier was identified.
