Reported use of machinery in Palestinian demolitions
Amnesty International Korea, Evidence Lab, and B'Tselem reported that HD Hyundai machinery had been used by Israeli forces in demolitions of Palestinian homes and businesses in the occupied Palestinian territories. HD Hyundai denied knowledge of the reported use despite the organizations’ reference to photographic and testimonial evidence.

Heavy-equipment use in illegal Amazon gold mining
Greenpeace East Asia and Indigenous campaigners alleged that Hyundai heavy machinery was widely used in illegal gold mining in the Brazilian Amazon, including areas affecting Kayapo, Yanomami, and Munduruku communities. The alleged mining activity was associated with mercury and sediment pollution and serious health concerns. HD Hyundai said it would take measures to prevent misuse of its equipment.
