Fatal workplace accident and safety conviction
A worker died in 2017 after welding in a confined area of a yacht under construction. In 2021, a Dutch court found Heesen responsible, citing inadequate safety measures and ventilation, and imposed a EUR 100,000 fine plus a conditional additional penalty.
